Teachers
We have a core group of teachers available as the need arises.
We stipulate that all our teachers will be TEFL qualified
and/or graduate native English speakers. At present we have
access to teachers who speak either Spanish or Italian as
second languages.
Although we believe strongly in communicating in English
to our students, we are also aware that being able to speak
to the students in their own language could be of benefit,
especially to those who have little or no experience of the
English language and need instruction regarding housing/transportation
or emergency issues.
Christina
Summers: Christina
has a strong background in business with over 20 years'
experience in a broad range of sectors including travel,
petrochemical, retail, media, pharmaceutical and fashion.
She gained a business degree and a diploma in 1990-94
both in Brighton and Torino, Italy, and is therefore
proficient in Italian as her second language. Her strengths
in communication and presentation have been used both
in the large public audience arena and in the one-to-one
context as her training in radio broadcasting has particularly
demonstrated.
Her natural ability to "simplify
the complicated" and to speak with clarity and
confidence enable students to quickly grasp the principal
tools and make substantial progress with the English
language.
